The floral spirit was unmistakably alive and thriving at the Interflora World Cup 2023 held in Manchester, England. This event is the floral world’s equivalent of the Olympics, taking place every four years. Expert florists from their respective countries competed to earn the prestigious honor of participating in the World Cup.
Nicolaus Peters from Germany emerged as the Interflora World Cup 2023 champion, receiving a $15,000 award during a gala attended by more than 600 guests.\xa0 Following Peters, Elisabeth Pålsson secured second place representing Norway, and Lizzie Newcombe from the UK took third place.
This year marked the FIRST occasion that the public was invited to watch floral artists compete live against 20 other countries for the top prize.
Inside the Manchester Central building, booths proudly displayed each country’s name as spectators witnessed the floral artists craft five live-action arrangements. Flowers were expertly placed with skill and precision, flying into spectacular designs.
Many attendees donned floral-inspired outfits reflecting the event’s theme. Notably, men stood out as especially stylish, turning their jackets into canvases bursting with floral motifs that added a sophisticated touch to their looks.
As you might expect, I wear floral designs every day. Why? Because it’s a deliberate way to infuse happiness into life and lift your mood. Fortunately, designers for both men and women recognize this desire and are now incorporating floral and nature-inspired motifs in clothing, jewelry, shoes, and more all year round.
