Cydney Chase Uses Floral Art to Heal and Teach

Cydney Chase’s artwork was exhibited at a charming farmhouse in Bedford, New York.

Visitors remarked on how her paintings were both reflective and evoked strong emotional reactions. All of her subjects — whether floral, animal, or human — possess a dreamy essence that encourages viewers to explore deeper emotional currents.

“These paintings are more than just visually pleasing,” noted guest Sarah Douglas as she admired a painting of a frog surrounded by flowers. Indeed, gazing at it prompts you to ponder what the frog might be thinking — which perfectly captures the artist’s intention.

“I’m fascinated by the inner world,” says Cydney Chase, who is also a songwriter and yoga instructor.

Given that Chase’s mother, Jayne Chase, is an environmentalist, it’s no surprise her work embraces nature holistically — extending beyond human nature alone.

Art has long served as a gateway to healing. Art therapy, for example, is widely used to promote wellness and explore the psyche. As Dr. Sará King — neuroscientist, medical anthropologist, and founder of Mind Heart Consulting — explains, music, art, and other creative expressions open portals that activate our innate healing abilities.

These experiences are equally transformative for the artist.

Viewing life anew or sharing an intimate experience becomes therapeutic and opens doors to fresh perspectives.

“This project brought me immense joy,” Chase shares. It also brought happiness to others, inspiring smiles and driving sales.
